How To Organize The Mudroom
Good mudroom organization isn't about making the space look perfect. It's about making it work for the people who actually use it. Dig in and get started! It’s not going to organize itself.
Clear everything out. Yes, everything.
Move last seasons items to storage or donate it if you aren’t going to use again.
Add this seasons items to the pile. This chaos won’t last long.
Sort all the items according by category. ie. shoes, bags, sports equipment…unidentified objects.
Take a good hard look and ask yourself…Does this belong in the mudroom or the dump? Be Honest!
Use hooks, bins, baskets, and shoe trays to put all of your commonly used items into the mudroom.
Take a moment and admire your work. Maybe even snap a photo. This level of perfection is fleeting and someone is about to walk in!
